The Eurotherm 2023 Seminar on “Innovative Solutions for Thermal Energy Storage Deployment” was held on May 24-26, 2023 at the University of Lleida in Spain.
This brought together over 200 researchers working on thermal energy storage from academia and industry across Europe.The MIRACLE project (led by Jorge S. Dolado) was represented at the seminar.
As work package leader in MIRACLE, Jorge S. Dolado presented the project’s latest development of “photonic metaconcrete“. This concrete contains embedded metamaterials to enable radiative cooling, aiming to provide energy savings in buildings.The seminar featured sessions to encourage collaboration between European projects on thermal energy storage. There is strong alignment between the goals of MIRACLE and other Horizon 2020 projects which also are working on integration of renewable energy for sustainable heating upgrades.
